It's funny...I seem to identify more with the girls from "Girls" than I ever did with the ladies from "Sex and the City". I mean when SATC was on, I was mostly a Carrie but that was because she was irresponsible and spent money she didnt have. I too am GREAT at that. After watching 2 Seasons of "Girls" more than 3 times each I have come to the conclusion I am Hannah. Minus the drama. If any of you suggest otherwise I will cut you. I have some Marnie in me as well.
Even though I am a good 13 years older than the girls, I am here to say...it doesnt always get better. I still need a better paying job, I dont own a house, boys suck, I am not famous yet. Let me tell you...that's the worst part. I would probably become famous if I cut my own hair and left a meltdown message to a friend and posted it on Youtube. Especially if my cats were all staged in the background. Can you see it now..."Oh hello, you FUCKER! Are you kidding me????? Where did you go and who am I supposed to talk to if you won't answer your fucking phone? Ok! That anorexic Marnie? Fucking Soshanna? Or my stalker ex boyfriend? It's not like any of them want to talk to me and I don't blame them cause I CUT OFF ALL MY FUCKING HAIR!!!! And now you're out somewhere, just living it up, wearing a crop top, you probably got your vagina pierced and your not answering your phone and you're forgetting about EVERYONE who's fucking it up here! SO I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GREAT TIME!!!! LOVE YOU!" -Hannah or very easily, Jenn Edens. If you don't watch "Girls" you may be confused but Hannah has a breakdown and blames it on everyone else. I would never do that...and by never I mean I have totally done that. Relationships are hard. Work is hard. Life is hard. So band together, make your time count and watch "Girls".
As it stands, no matter the age, we all feel the same sometimes. Because obvi we're the ladies.
